Delegations comprising of the Commandant, Deputy Commandant, Chief instructors, Brigadier Coordinating, Directing Staff and Student Officers of DSCSC 12 visited Australia, China, Israel, Indonesia, Japan, Philippines, Rwanda , Russia, South Korea, Turkey and UAE from 1 August to 14 August 2018.
The Australia delegation headed by Maj Gen J R Kulatunga RSP ndc psc, Commandant DSCSC visited the RAAF Williams, Phillip Island, Combined Arms Training Center, Australian Defence Forces Headquarters, Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade(DFAT), Australian Defence College, Australian Command and Staff College, National Museum, Australian War Memorial and Victoria Barracks in Australia.
Maj Gen A M R Dharmasiri ndu psc, Deputy Commandant DSCSC proceeded for Russia with a delegation visited Ministry of Defence, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Moscow War Museum, Intarnational Anti-Mine Center, Naval Academy, Weapon and Armour Gallery (Park Patriot), Defence Industry Plants and Petergoff Palace.
Turkey delegation headed by Brigadier J C Gamage psc Chief Instructor Army Wing visited most important strategically places in Ankara and Istanbul with the members.

Brigadier G M C K B Ekanayake WWV RWP RSP psc, Brigadier Coord DSCSC proceeded for South Korea with a delegation visited Tour to War Museum, Seoul Transport Operations and Information Services , The Embassy of Sri Lanka, Jinhae Navy Base in Gyeongsangnam, Korea Aerospace Industry Ltd. in Gyeongsangnam , Ministry of National Defence, ROK in Youngsan, Seoul, Asan Instittue for Policy Studies in Jongno, Seoul, Joint Forces Military University, Daejeon, Korea National Defence University, Nonsan, Chungcheongnam, Daejeon National Science Museum, Demilitarized Zone (DMZ), Panmunjom, Samsung Innovation Museum (Electronic Industrial Museum) in Suwon and Korea Institute for Defence Analysis (KIDA), Dongdaemun Seoul.
The Visit is a part of the course curriculum, and provided a deeper insight into the function of Armed forces of those countries and training, grooming and career development of Military officers. Further how well the armed forces have won the hearts and minds of the general public in respective countries. Further it was well demonstrated long time brotherhood and hospitality of countries to wards Sri Lanka.
