The Commandant of the DSCSC, Major General BKGML Rodrigo RSP psc IG received the guest lecturer at his office prior to his inspirational lecture on the topic of “Reasons for the outbreak of Elam War IV in 2006” where he shared his expertise gathered during his three-decade-long military life as one of the most experienced warriors in the Special Forces Regiment in the Sri Lanka Army.

The lecture unfolded as a captivating narrative, a vivid picture of the operational landscape, the ever-shifting political dynamics and the broader implication of the battlefield. The guest lecturer aptly made use of his personal experiences in the lecture and shared stories of resilience, sacrifice, military decision-making process and strategies used by the LTTE.

In the aftermath of this enlightening lecture, the Commandant presented Major General Prasanna de Silva a token of appreciation in recognition of his great service rendered as a special guest lecturer to the Course Number -17.
