The Defence Services Command and Staff College (DSCSC) held its annual ‘Hash Run’ on 14 October 2023, in collaboration with the Colombo Hash House Harriers. This event is a cherished tradition at the College, offering Student Officers a well-deserved interval from their rigorous academic schedules.

In the current year, the ‘Hash Run’ proved to be an exceptional event that brought the entire College community together. This inclusive gathering featured the Commandant, faculty members, permanent staff, Student Officers, and their families, all sharing in the spirit of enjoyment and camaraderie.

In keeping with tradition, the trail for the DSCSC ‘Hash Run’ snaked around the College, taking participants on a scenic route, offering a mix of adventurous running, exhilarating obstacles, and non-stop enjoyment.

Following the conclusion of the run, participants gathered at the recreational area closer the facility center of the College to continue the festivities with a series of social and recreational events thoughtfully organized by the Student Officers. The joy and excitement were profound, with special attention to the little ones who relished every moment.

The ‘Hash Run 2023’ was an unforgettable experience for all involved, particularly for the foreign Student Officers and their families.

In the true spirit of the ‘Hash Run,’ this year’s event was a resounding success, reaffirming the bonds of friendship and solidarity within the DSCSC community.
