Major General A M Roe CB, Chief Executive and Commandant, Defence Academy of the UK, along with his team embarked a visit to the Commandant of the Defence Services Command and Staff College – Sapugaskanda on 2 November 2022, at the Commandant’s office.

Major General A M Roe CB was warmly welcomed by Major General Lasantha Rodrigo RSP psc IG, the Commandant of DSCSC Sri Lanka. Thereafter, a cordial discussion ensued on matters related to co-hosting the South Asia Conference of Commandants 2023, tentatively from 13 – 16 February 2023, by Sri Lanka and UK with the purpose of gathering and discussing defence education and exchanging professional views and experiences in a non-contentious setting. After the briefing, he also made a filed visit of the College premises.

Having marked the long-standing bilateral military relationship between the two nations, an exchange of mementoes to mark his visit took place. Signing of the visitor’s Book brought the meeting to a culmination.
