The Chief of Defence Staff, General L H S C Silva WWV RWP RSP VSV USP ndc psc MPhil received a grandiose welcome by the Commandant of the DSCSC, Major General D K S K Dolage USP psc,     on 09 December 2024.

At the invitation of the Commandant, the Chief of Defence Staff, a well-recognized alumnus of the third ACSC Course, addressed the course No 18 prior to their graduation facilitating the Course Participants a valuable opportunity to fathom the experiences of a legendary military leader.

Having underscored the importance of transforming the military force to proactive military power, the Guest Speaker made an insightful speech on ‘the Defence Services Reforms 2030’. During the address, General Shavendra Silva emphasized the goals of Tri Services Reforms, National Security Objectives and enablers of Defence efforts. His speech was not only a reflection of his experience but also a forward-thinking vision for the future of the armed forces.

The Guest of Honour received a token of appreciation subsequent to his address at the Maroon Hall and the gesture was reciprocated highlighting the significance of his visit and the esteem in which he is held. The guest speaker interacted with both faculty members and course participants, fostering a sense of camaraderie.
