In line with the Government’s “Clean Sri Lanka” concept and the national initiative to promote a healthy and sustainable environment, a two-day Civil-Military Cooperation (CIMIC) Project was successfully conducted at Base Hospital Kiribathgoda on 16th and 17th October 2025.
Under the guidance and supervision of the Commandant, Major General H H K S S Hewage RWP RSP USP rcds psc, a total of 35 troops from the Defence Services Command and Staff College (DSCSC) actively participated in this community welfare programme. The troops rendered their assistance in repairing existing water and electricity systems, servicing air conditioners, pruning overgrown vegetation, landscaping the premises, renewing the children’s park, and repairing iron equipment and apparatus.
This initiative not only improved the overall environment and facilities of the hospital but also demonstrated the Sri Lanka Army’s steadfast commitment to supporting national development goals and enhancing public welfare through community-oriented activities.
