The College Run, one of the important events in the annual calendar of the college, was held on 12 July 2023. The event aimed to build team spirit among the officers in the college and to highlight the importance of being physically fit. All the officers in the college, including the Faculty Members, Permanent staff, and Student Officers of Course No. 17, showed great enthusiasm for the event.
The Commandant, Major General BKGML Rodrigo RSP psc IG, graced the event, and the winners received their prizes from Brigadier AP Wickramasekara USP psc, the Deputy Commandant of DSCSC. The Award for the first place among Directing and Permanent Staff was secured by Maj Hasitha Bandara (GR), while first place among Foreign Student Officers was awarded to Maj Moussa MBODJ from Senegal. Major Tharindu Ranathunga (SF) won the first place among Local Student Officers, and Major Ruwan Wiyebandara (CR) secured the second place.
Furthermore, a special prize was introduced to the College Run for the first time in its history as a new concept of the Commandant, as the best joint syndicate. Accordingly joint syndicate 07 won the Special Prize.
