COMMANDANTS’ NIGHT – HELD AT DSCSC 2026

The Defence Services Command and Staff College (DSCSC) hosted the Commandants’ Night – 2026 on 25 September 2026, bringing together distinguished stalwarts of the College who have played a significant role in the development and advancement of the institution. The event was attended by 13 such eminent leaders who served as Commandants during the College’s period as the Army Command and Staff College and following its transition to the Defence Services Command and Staff College.
The annual gathering serves as a distinguished occasion to recognise and felicitate the past Commandants for their dedicated leadership, service and contribution to the continued development of the College. Their stewardship over the years has contributed significantly to shaping the academic standards, professional ethos and institutional identity of the College, while laying a strong foundation upon which successive Commandants and Faculty have continued to build.
Adding further significance to the occasion, three former Commandants who are currently overseas joined the gathering virtually, extending their warm greetings and sharing their thoughts with the College and fellow Commandants. Their virtual participation reflected the enduring bond shared by those who have served as the heads of the institution, transcending geographical boundaries and reinforcing their continued association with the College.
The evening provided an opportunity for the past Commandants and the present leadership of the College to reconnect, exchange experiences and reflect on the evolution of the institution over the years. It also offered a valuable opportunity to revisit the College’s heritage and acknowledge the collective efforts of successive Commandants, faculty members and staff who have contributed to its growth and development.
