The Commandant of the college, Major General Lasantha Rodrigo RSP psc IG received the Commander of the Air Force, Air Marshal RAUP Rajapaksa RSP and two Bars, VSV, USP, MSc (MOA) USA, MSc (Def Stu) in Mgt, MA in IS&S (UK), BSc (Def Stu), MIM (SL), AMIE (SL), rcds, psc in his office and conducted the guest of honour to the Maroon Hall to address the graduands of the Course No 17 at the Defence Services Command and Staff College (DSCSC) prior to their graduation  on 14 December 2023.

The Commander of the Air Force enlightened the audience on contemporary global security landscape, causes, rivalry and their dangers during his delivery that was saturated with strategic brilliance. The guest of honour made student officers free of confusion on the specific discipline. The presentation of a memento to the Commander of the Air Force to mark his gracious presence at the college that was a significant event in the course curriculum.

The college hosted tea at the Upper Lounge of the Officers’ Mess to the Commander of the Air Force and held fruitful interaction with student officers. The Deputy Commandant, all wing heads, the members of the faculty and the permanent staff, along with student officers of the course partook in the event.
