The delegation from the Military Academy of General Staff of the Armed Forces of Russian Federation, headed by Major General Sviridov Vladimir, Deputy Chief of Staff of the Land Forces of the Russian Federation made an official visit to the DSCSC Sri Lanka on 24 April 2024. On arrival, the delegation was cordially welcomed by the Commandant Major General Lasantha Rodrigo RSP psc IG at his office.

During the occasion, the cordial discussion centered on possible avenues for nurturing and enhancing the relationship between the two nations through military education in the future and emphasized the mutual commitment towards better cooperation and enhancing existing close ties. In view of marking the presence of the delegation, a memento was presented and the gesture was reciprocally returned.

Afterwards, Brigadier P S Subath Sanjeewa RSP Psc, the Chief Instructor of the Army Wing, made a briefing of the DSCSC at the Green Hall.

The Commandant, the Deputy Commandant, Chief Instructors of the Army, Navy, and Air Wings, and all faculty members graced the occasion. Further, a group photograph was taken at the Owls’ Den and signing of the Visitor’s Book was taken place perfecting the formalities of the event.
