Emphasizing reverence for time-honored customs, an All-Rank tea party was elegantly orchestrated on 18 April 2024, to mark the dawn of Sinhala Hindu New Year. The Commandant of  DSCSC Major General Lasantha Rodrigo RSP, psc, IG, Deputy Commandant, Chief Instructors of Army, Navy and Air Wings, Brigadier Coordinating, Faculty Members, Permanent Staff, Other Ranks and Civil Staff partook in the event. Sweetmeats and special traditional dishes adorned the tea party reflecting the essential facet of the Sinhala and Tamil New Year festivity.

The Commandant of DSCSC Major General Lasantha Rodrigo RSP, psc, IG, in his brief address to the assembly, extended heartfelt wishes for a joyous and prosperous Sinhala and Tamil New Year to all officers, Other Ranks, and civil members and to their families and loved ones of the DSCSC.

Subsequently, the Commandant distributed valuable gift parcels to 108 civilian staff in the college in appreciation of their dedicated service for the well-being of the College. The occasion bestowed to share a lighthearted moment with each other, fostering a warm and friendly atmosphere.
