Exercise Ghost Walk is the last Tactical Exercise Without Troops (TEWT) of the course calendar of the DSCSC. The exercise was designed to provide an opportunity for Student Officers to practice in planning, organising and conducting a TEWT at battalion level. During the exercise, Student Officers were given the opportunity to write a TEWT in their own. They were able to test the worthiness of their plans on the ground with the guidance of the Directing Staff.

Student Officers had conducted their initial and final reconnaissance on 10 October 2023 and 10 November 2023 respectively in order to select a suitable ground to conduct the TEWT. The TEWT was conducted on 20 November 2023 at general area Urapola, Gampaha. While conducting the exercise, Student Officers had an opportunity to apply all tactical teaching along with the operational staff techniques learnt during the course on the outdoor environment. The exercise concluded with a de-briefing by the Chief Instructor of the Army Wing.
