EXERCISE PURPLE TURTLE

Course participants of DSCSC Course No. 18 engaged in a significant demonstration of military prowess by successfully executing the operational planning of a large-scale amphibious landing from 12 to 17 July 2024. Exercise Purple Turtle was designed to transform theoretical knowledge of amphibious operations and joint operations into practice by applying operational-level planning tools.

The exercise encompassed every aspect of planning an amphibious operation, requiring the participants to exercise mission command. It also tested the application of operational art and design through various scenarios, emphasizing resilience by addressing challenges across all domains.

Furthermore, Exercise Purple Turtle maximized the understanding of each service’s strengths and limitations, enabling participants to hone their skills in operational briefings. The professional contributions of foreign course participants, through role-playing exercise appointments, were integral to the successful completion of the training event. Exercise Purple Turtle underscored the synergy in marching, sailing, and flying, highlighting the power of synchronization.
