1.    Exercise ‘SLEDGEHAMMER’, which is a Command Post Exercise (CPX), took place in the Defence Services Command and Staff College premises from 23- 30 Sep 22. This is one of the major exercises for Army Student Officers during the Term 3.

2.   The aim of the exercise ‘SLEDGEHAMMER’ is to provide an opportunity for Student Officers to practice in planning and conducting COIN operations at tactical level, contingency planning at tactical level and planning, organizing and conduct of a CPX. More emphasis was given for developing Student Officers’ understanding on planning, organizing and conduct of a one sided wargame.

3.   The exercise culminated with a RIC based on the exercise settings. Eighty six Student Officers of the Army Wing along with the Directing Staff took part in the exercise.
