On 28 August 2024, the Defence Services Command and Staff College (DSCSC) held its third Diners’ Club event for the Term 3 of the Course No. 18 at the Officers’ Mess. The evening brought together the Commandant, Wing Heads, Directing Staff, Permanent Staff, Course Participants, and their spouses. His Excellency MIZUKOSHI Hideaki, Ambassador of Japan to Sri Lanka, delivered a lecture on ‘Sri Lanka and Japan Cooperation‘.

The lecture underscored the rich history of friendship and cooperation, marked by mutual respect, shared values, and the excellent commitment to the prosperity of Sri Lanka and Japan. Further, the lecture delved deeper into this extraordinary partnership and explored the ways in which it continues to evolve in an ever-changing world.

Following the lecture, an interactive session allowed participants to share their ideas with His Excellency MIZUKOSHI Hideaki. The event exemplified the DSCSC’s commitment to fostering high-caliber, professional military education and promoting strategic discourse among its members.

The Commandant of the Defence Services Command and Staff College presented a memento to the Guest Speaker at the conclusion of the event to appreciate his presence and to mark his maiden visit to the College.
