The Defaence Services Command & Staff College organized a simple and solemn programme that followed the formalities of assuming work for the New Year on the first working day on 02 January 2023.

The Commandant, Maj Gen BKGML Rodrigo RSP psc IG; and the Deputy Commandant, Brigadier PAM Peris RSP USP hoisted the national flag and the College flag respectively. All officers of the tri-services serving at the college and the all rank and file that includes the civilian staff took the oath and pledged to abide by the State Oath of Allegiance.

At the end of the troop address, the Commandant and the entire staff attended the tea party that ensued an ideal opportunity to exchange New Year greetings with one another in a more relaxed and informal demeanor.
