The International Day – 2024 of the Defence Services Command and Staff College was celebrated on Friday, 28 June 2024 at the College premises. Major General DKSK Dolage USP psc, the Commandant graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. The event was significant since it was represented by local Course Participants and foreign Course Participants from Bangladesh, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan, Rwanda, Saudi Arabia, Senegal, USA and Zambia. Several diplomatic representatives including the Malaysian High Commissioner to Sri Lanka His Excellency Badil Hisham Adam, the Defence Advisor of Maldives in Sri Lanka Colonel Hassan Amir and the Defence Attaché of United States of America in Sri Lanka Lieutenant Colonel Anthony Nelson also graced the event.
The event was organized to share the incomparable cultures, enriching traditions and authentic cuisines of foreign countries and to display and share the Sri Lankan diversified cultural aspects and cuisines. The stalls set up by the local Course Participants showcased the Kandyan, Southern and North-East cultures and traditions of the country. The traditional and cultural music and dancing events performed by the tri-services artists, dancing team from Indian Cultural Centre and individual artist from Indonesia added an extra glamour to the event.
