Invited by the Commandant of the Defence Services Command and Staff College, Major General D K S K Dolage USP psc, the Defence Advisor of the Australian High Commission in Sri Lanka, Colonel Amanda Johnston, CSC and Bar, ndc visited the Defence Services Command and Staff College on 1 November 2024. She conducted a lecture on ‘Australia’s National Defence Strategy’ to the Course Participants of the Defence Services Command and Staff College Course No. 18, as a part of an initiative to enhance their geopolitical awareness.

Colonel Amanda Johnston also had an interaction with the Commandant and discussed matters of mutual interest, including the way forward to further developing defence relationships among both parties. Mementos were exchanged between the Commandant and the Defence Advisor, symbolising the strong bilateral connection between the Office of Defence Advisor and the Defence Services Command and Staff College, Sri Lanka.
