MAJOR GENERAL BKGML RODRIGO RSP psc IG ASSUMES DUTIES AS THE COMMANDANT AT DEFENCE SERVICES COMMAND AND STAFF COLLEGE

Major General BKGML Rodrigo RSP psc IG assumed duties as the 9 Commandant of the   Defence Services Command and Staff College (DSCSC) on 20 June 2022. A grand Guard Turnout was accorded on his arrival to the DSCSC, the apex of military teaching in Sri Lanka. The Commandant was warmly welcomed by the Deputy Commandant, Brigadier Coordinating and all the Wing Heads.

In conforming to the traditions, the new Commandant hosted an All Rank Tea at Fountain Square and planted a sapling of an Ironwood at the Fountain Square prior to the officers’ address at the Maroon Hall.

The Commandant in his address emphasized the importance of the role of ensuring a pristine working environment and of the primary responsibility in facilitating the students to explore new knowledge.
