MILITARY ETHICS AND CUSTOM MODULE WAS SUCCESSFULLY CONDUCTED

The Defence Services Command and Staff College, at the request of Postgraduate Institute of Medicine, Military Ethics and Custom Module was conducted at the White Hall, DSCSC from 18 December to 21 December 2023 for the tri services medical officers in the MSc Military Medicine Batch. The workshop was successfully organized with the guidance of Major General Lasantha Rodrigo RSP psc IG, the Commandant, DSCSC and under the supervision of Brigadier Ajith Wickramasekara USP Psc, the Deputy Commandant, in coordination with the Ministry of Defence.

The Module which was comprised of lecture series on Basic Service Writing, Military Discipline and Decorum, Introduction to Doctrine, Evolution of Military Customs, Military Leadership, Modern Social Etiquettes and various related topics, was aimed at demonstrating the competencies of combat, naval and aviation medical practitioners within the military environment and enhancing personal and professional development of highest ethical standards.

Experts in above different fields, together with Senior Army Officers delivered lectures to those trainees during these sessions.
