Exercise ‘Concrete Jungle’; one of the major tactical exercises at DSCSC, terminated with a high note when Student Officers completely evicted the enemy and defended Kurunegala successfully on 25 May 2022. This year the exercise was conducted over a period of six days from 19 May 2022 to 25 May 2022.

This is a brigade level Army and Air Force joint exercise aimed at practicing Student Officers in the planning and execution of offensive and defensive operations against a generic enemy in an urban environment. The exercise includes an aerial and field reconnaissance followed by writing of an estimate, syndicate room discussions and Tactical Exercise Without Troops (TEWT) in Kurunegala area in support of their planning process. However, due to prevailing situation in the country, the conduct of the exercise was limited to the DSCSC premises curtailing the field activities.

Despite those constraints, many initiatives were introduced by the College to maintain the reputation and realistic nature of the exercise.
