A lecture on Generalship was conducted for the Student Officers of the Defence Services Command and Staff College Course No 17 by the former Deputy Chief of Staff of the Sri Lanka Army and the first Commandant of then Army Command and Staff College (presently Defence Services Command and Staff College) Major General AED Wijendra (Retd) RWP RSP VSV USP ndc psc on 24th April 2023.

He shared his invaluable experiences in the battles and conducted a lecture on “Generalship” enhancing the knowledge of Student Officers of the course No – 17 by defining the qualities of successful Generalship and stressed upon leading and managing situations as well as persons during the war or peace.

The Commandant, members of the faculty and officers of the permanent staff also attended the lecture. Finally, Major General AED Wijendra (Retd) was presented a token of appreciation in recognition of his service rendered as a guest lecturer to the Course No – 17.
