The Defence Services Command and Staff College (DSCSC) proudly hosted a momentous occasion on December 10, 2024, as the Secretary to the Ministry of Defence, Air Vice Marshal Sampath Thuyacontha (Retd) WWV, RWP and Two Bars, RSP and Bar, USP, MMSc (Strat Stu-China), MSc (Def Stu) in Mgt, MSc (Def & Strat Stu), fndu (China), psc, was officially inducted into the prestigious Wall of Fame.
The Commandant of DSCSC, Major General D K S K Dolage USP psc, warmly welcomed the Chief Guest to the College. The visit was marked by a dual significance, with delivering the customary address by the Defence Secretary to Course No. 18 and being honoured at a special felicitation ceremony to celebrate his induction into the Wall of Fame.
In a solemn and dignified ceremony, Air Vice Marshal Thuyacontha (Retd) unveiled his profile, officially marking his induction. Following the induction, he addressed the Course Participants on ‘the Defence Services Reforms 2030’ and shared his invaluable insights, inspiring the audience, and underscored the importance of leadership and dedication to national service.
As a token of appreciation, the Commandant presented a commemorative plaque to the Chief Guest, to which Air Vice Marshal Thuyacontha (Retd) reciprocated with a gesture of gratitude. During a tea hosted in his honour, he engaged freely with the Course Participants, fostering camaraderie, offering guidance, and posing for a group photograph to commemorate his visit to the College.
