THE LECTURE ON DECLARATION OF ASSETS AND LIABILITIES-2026

The Internal Affairs Unit of the Sri Lanka Army conducted an awareness lecture on the declaration of Assets and Liabilities at the Defence Services Command and Staff College on 14 May 2026.

The programme was organised under the guidance of the Commandant to enhance awareness among faculty members and local Course Participants on the significance of the declaration of Assets and Liabilities, while also familiarising them with the newly introduced digital declaration system.

The lecture was delivered by the Staff Officer 2 of the Internal Affairs Unit in the presence of the Chief Instructor, Army Wing and Colonel, Perspective Planning and Implementation Cell. During the session, participants were informed on the role and functions of the Internal Affairs Unit, the responsibilities of government executive officers in relation to the declaration process, the Internal Affairs Unit digital monitoring system, and the procedures for the submission of declarations of Assets and Liabilities.

The session provided valuable insight into the importance of transparency, accountability, and integrity within the military establishment, while reinforcing the Sri Lanka Army’s commitment to aligning with state directives and national policies related to good governance, ethical administration, and institutional accountability.
