The Defence Services Command and Staff College Course No 19 pantomime unfolded in grand style, captivating audiences with its vibrant energy and creativity.
Held at the iconic Maroon Hall of the DSCSC on 12 December 2025, from 1900 hours, the event drew a full house of participants, faculty, and guests. Major General HHKSS Hewage RWP RSP USP rcds psc, the Commandant of the DSCSC, graced the event as the Chief Guest, underscoring the pantomime’s significance in college traditions. This annual spectacle, meticulously organised and performed by the Course Participants of the Course No 19, transforms the hall into a stage of shared joy and institutional pride.
The college pantomime is a cherished annual event in which Course Participants showcase their talents through dynamic skits, theatrical performances, and heartfelt reflections. Far from the silent gestures of traditional mime, it bursts with enthusiastic performances that mirror the resilient spirit and camaraderie of the Course Participants. The event not only entertains but also reinforces bonds among future military leaders, blending humour, satire, and inspiration in a uniquely military context.
This year’s pantomime revolved around the bold theme of ‘Hell’, ingeniously divided into three immersive wings: Ground Hell, Lava Hell, and Air Hell. The Course Participants unleashed a dazzling array of acts, from fiery comedic sketches depicting infernal chaos to aerial acrobatics and ground-level antics that sparked waves of laughter and applause. The creative execution, complete with elaborate costumes, props, and synchronised group routines, ensured non-stop fun, leaving every attendee in high spirits.
