Lieutenant Colonel Anthony Nelson, the Senior Defense Official / Defense Attaché to Sri Lanka and the Maldives in US Embassy Sri Lanka, paid a courtesy call to the Commandant of the Defence Services Command and Staff College – Sapugaskanda on Friday, 17 November 2023, at the Commandant’s office and conducted a lecture on Locating Sri Lanka in Indo – Pacific policy to the DSCSC course no 17.

Major General Lasantha Rodrigo RSP psc IG, the Commandant of DSCSC in reciprocal, extended his best wishes and greetings to the visiting Defence Attaché before the exchange of views on general matters of mutual interest got underway. A cordial discussion ensued on possible avenues for developing the relationship between the two nations through military education in the future. Further, the Commandant DSCSC appreciated the Defence Attaché for accepting the invitation for conducting a lecture on Locating Sri Lanka in Indo – Pacific policy to the DSCSC course no 17 on the same day.

Having marked the long-standing bilateral military relationship between the two nations, an exchange of mementoes to mark his visit took place. Signing of the visitor’s Book brought the meeting to a culmination.
