The inaugural course visit of the Student Officers of the DSCSC Course No 15 was made to Sri Lanka Air Force Base Katunayake on 15 March 2021. It was a treasured opportunity for the Army, Navy and Foreign Officers of the course No 15 to visit the oldest Flying Squadron and the Engineering Wing of the Sri Lanka Air Force together with Fighter Squadrons and other Engineering Wings. The Student Officers were briefed on the history, evolution, function and developments of these formations by an experienced and qualified panel of Officers. The visit was fruitful to all Officers, as they had the opportunity to acquire first-hand knowledge and witness the capabilities of the flying and engineering formations of the SLAF. The Base Commander of SLAF Base Katunayake and Commanding Officers of the Flying and Engineering formation have accompanied the delegation during the visit and hosted lunch at the Officers’ Mess. The visit came to an end with a presentation of a memento as a token of appreciation for the hospitality rendered for the delegation of DSC&SC during the visit.
