The Commander of the Air Force, Air Marshal SK Pathirana WWV and Bar, RWP and Bar, RSP and three Bars,VSV, USP, MSc (MOA) USA, MSc (Def Stu) in Mgt, MPhil (Ind), MIM (SL), ndc (Ind), psc, qfi was warmly welcomed by Maj Gen Lasantha Rodrigo RSP psc IG, the Commandant of the DSCSC on 21 November 2022.

In conforming to its long-preserved tradition, the Commanders of Tri-Services are formally invited to address the student officers of the course prior to their graduation to give them an opportunity to interact with the highest profiles in the contemporary armed forces in Sri Lanka. At the invitation of the DSCSC, the Commander of Air Force, addressed the course no 16 and shared his invaluable experience with officers.

Preceding the address the student officers of the Course No 16, Air Marshal Sudarshana Pathirana made a courtesy call to Major General Lasantha Rodrigo at the Commandant’s office. In concurrence with his official visit, the Commander of Air Force handed over MI – 24 Attack Helicopter, as a gift from the Sri Lanka Air Force  that stands facelift the image of the college.

The Commander of Air Force received a token of appreciation subsequent to the address for extending his full provision to strengthen the relationship between Sri Lanka Air Force and the college.  The gesture of good will was reciprocally returned at the Maroon Hall by the guest of honour and the casual interaction during the exquisite tea hosted at the upper lounge of the Officers’ Mess to Air Marshal Sudarshana Pathirana with the prospective graduates and the staff of the faculty that included the Deputy Commandant, all wing heads perfected the formalities of the event.
