Defence Attaché of the Senegal for India and Sri Lanka, Colonel Abdoulaye Traore paid a courtesy call on Major General Lasantha Rodrigo RSP psc IG, the Commandant of the Defence Services Command and Staff College on 06^th February 2023 during his visit to Sri Lanka as an invitee for the 75^th Independence celebration.

The Commandant warmly welcomed Colonel Abdoulaye Traore on his arrival at the Commandant’s Office and during the cordial discussion, Colonel Traore underscored possible avenues of strengthening warm, cordial and mutual military supportive partnerships existing between two nations through military education in future. He further highlighted the importance placed by his nation in deepening the bilateral relations with Sri Lanka as a friend and valued partner.

Towards the end of the brief interaction, Major General Lasantha Rodrigo awarded a memento to Colonel Abdoulaye Traore as a token of goodwill and understanding. The gesture was reciprocated.
