The DSCSC hosted an awe-inspiring farewell dinner to Major General DAPN Dematanpitiya ndu psc MSc(MSWS) MBA (Log) prior to relinquishing his service as the Commandant at Defence Service Command and Staff College on 14th December 2020. The Out Going Commandant was awarded with a memento in appreciation of his invaluable service and Mrs. Ramani Dematanpitiya was garlanded with laurels for her remarkable role as the president of Ladies’ Club of the DSCSC. Having addressed the troops in a charm ceremony, he emphasized the importance of commitment, military core values, traditions and SOPs to exercise a remarkable role at the College, which gives full self-satisfaction every day.

His departure was marked with a traditional street lining procession amidst showers of blessings by the Deputy Commandant, Brigadier Coordinating, Wing Heads, Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks of the tri Services serving at the College.

Major General Prabath Dematapitiya was the 7th Commandant of the DSCSC and during his tenure at College, he reviewed the academic course curriculum and facelifted the College image by means of upgrading the infrastructure facilities.
