In a momentous occasion of Student Officers of the course number 18, former Chief of Staff of Sri Lanka Army, retired Major General HCP Goonetilleke RSP VSV USP ndc psc delivered a captivating lecture on the art and science of generalship on 24 April 2024. He shared invaluable insights gleaned from decades of service, offering a rare glimpse into the intricacies of military leadership and strategic decision-making. Drawing from his extensive range of military experience, he illustrated the pivotal role of a military leader, citing historical examples ranging from classical warfare to modern-day conflicts.

Throughout the lecture, he engaged the audience with thought-provoking questions and interactive discussions, encouraging attendees to glean insights from his experiences and apply them to their own leadership journey. Finally, retired Major General Channa Goonetilleke was presented a token of appreciation in recognition of his service rendered as a distinct guest lecturer to the course number 18.
