NAVY AND AIR, COURSE PARTICIPANTS SUCCESSFULLY COMPLETED ‘EXERCISE OCTOPUS’

The joint exercise ‘OCTOPUS’ was conducted successfully from 11th to 13th May 2024. This landmark event brought together Navy and Air Force Course Participants from DSCSC Course No. 18, providing a unique and enriching experience under the domain of Maritime Air Operations (MAO).

Exercise ‘OCTOPUS’ was meticulously designed to enhance the knowledge and skills of Course Participants in Maritime Air Operations (MAO). Beyond its primary focus, the exercise offered invaluable insights into maritime law, operational-level joint planning, and related fields, equipping participants with a comprehensive understanding of integrated military operations.

Navy and Air Force Course Participants were organized into six joint syndicates, fostering collaboration and synergy between the two services. Each syndicate was tasked with planning for a given scenario, utilizing their combined expertise to develop robust operational plans.

On May 13th, 2024, the joint syndicates culminated their exercise by presenting their finalized plans to the faculty. This final briefing served as a showcase of the participants’ ability to apply theoretical knowledge into practical solutions, demonstrating their analytical skills and strategic thinking.

This joint effort has undoubtedly prepared future leaders for the complexities of modern warfare, ensuring they are well equipped to face any challenge with confidence and competence.
