The 2024 DSCSC Delegation on International Collaboration Study Package (DDICSP) took place from 2 to 11 September, with visits to six key destinations; Indonesia, India, Pakistan, Thailand, Malaysia, and the United Arab Emirates (UAE). As part of the program, 35 Course Participants including six Foreign Course Participants from DSCSC-18, visited the UAE.
In recognition of the successful visit, the UAE Embassy in Colombo extended an invitation to five members of the delegation who had visited the UAE during the DDICSP 2024. On 30 September 2024, they met with H E Khaled Nasser AlAmeri, the UAE Ambassador to Sri Lanka. Major General DKSK Dolage USP psc, Commandant of the DSCSC, led the delegation, accompanied by four faculty members.
The meeting was both productive and engaging. The Ambassador and DSCSC Delegation discussed the significance of strengthening military relations between the UAE and Sri Lanka with a focus on shared interests in military training, exchange programs, cyber security, border security management, and advanced technological training. These discussions highlighted mutual benefits for both countries. Major General Kapila Dolage also extended an invitation to the UAE to send participants to the DSCSC-19 course in 2025, further enhancing the bilateral training opportunities. The meeting concluded with the exchange of mementos symbolizing the goodwill between the two nations and marking the success of this year’s DDICSP visit to the UAE.
The interaction set the stage for a well-organized DDICSP visit to the UAE next year, reinforcing the strong military bond and collaboration between Sri Lanka and the UAE.
