FOREIGN COURSE PARTICIPANTS OF DSCSC CONCLUDED THE INLAND STUDY TOUR SUCCESSFULLY

The Defence Services Command and Staff College (DSCSC) organized an Inland Study Tour (IST) from November 2nd – 7th 2024. The tour aimed at offering Foreign Course Participants and their families a unique opportunity to explore and experience some historically significant and scenic locations in Anuradhapura, Jaffna and Trincomalee.

On the first day, the group visited the sacred Ruwanweliseya and other archaeological sites in Anuradhapura. Over the next two days, they explored Jaffna Fort, Dambakolapatuna, Sakkotai Cape, Nallur Kovil, and other historic landmarks in the Jaffna Peninsula, enriching the participants’ understanding of the region’s cultural heritage. On day four, the team traveled to Mullaitivu, gaining insight into the historical significance and impact of the conflict. The final stop was Trincomalee, where they enjoyed its scenic beaches and visited Koneswaram Kovil.

Throughout the tour, the Army, Navy, and Air Force establishments in the regions provided invaluable support, ensuring that the Inland Study Tour was a resounding success and a memorable experience for all participants.
