The Indian military delegation, led by Colonel Amit Dixit, received a warm welcome from Commandant Major General DKSK Dolage USP, psc, upon their arrival. The delegation conducted the Military Technology Workshop (MTW) for the Course Participants (CPs) of Course No. 18 from 11 to 14 November 2024.

The MTW aimed to equip CPs with theoretical knowledge and practical application of cutting-edge military technologies in current and future conflicts. The workshop also aimed to enhance collaboration between the panellists and CPs by fostering networking opportunities. The diverse topics covered during the 4-day workshop included Artificial Intelligence in Warfare, Directed Energy Weapons, Future Unmanned Aerial Vehicles, Spaced-based Surveillance, Network Centric Warfare, and the Concept of Smart Soldier, allowing CPs to explore the strategic applications of these technologies in national security. The successful completion of the workshop highlighted the importance of staying informed about technological trends and developments in modern warfare, ultimately instilling a sense of readiness among participants to implement these innovations within their respective forces.

The Commandant hosted a formal dinner in honour of the visiting delegation, bringing together faculty, delegates, and their families. The evening featured traditional Sri Lankan dance performances by the Directorate of Performance and Art of the Sri Lanka Army, promoting a vibrant cultural exchange.
