The Commander of the Army, Lieutenant General H L V M Liyanage RWP RSP ndu received a warm reception by Major General D K S K Dolage USP psc on 06 December 2024. On the invitation of the Commandant, DSCSC, the Commander of the Army, addressed the course No 18 prior to their graduation, providing them an opportunity to listen to the views and experiences of one of the legendary military leaders in the country.
The guest of honour, made a valuable and timely speech themed on ‘Reforms of the Sri Lanka Army 2030’ and presented a comprehensive overview of the Sri Lanka Army’s approach to build a versatile, modernized and well-balanced force with optimal capabilities to deter, control, mitigate future threats and challenges, whilst supporting the achievements of national defence interests. During the address, he further stressed the challenges of fostering a performance culture too. At the end of the speech, the Course Participants had the opportunity of interacting with the guest speaker and enlightening their knowledge with a fruitful question and answer session.
The Commander of the Army was presented a memento to mark his presence and the gesture was reciprocated by the chief guest.
