THE VICE CHANCELLOR OF KDU PAYS A COURTESY CALL AND ADDRESSES THE COURSE PARTICIPANTS OF COURSE NO 19

In a significant gesture of collaboration and mutual respect, the Vice Chancellor of KDU, Rear Admiral HGU Dammika Kumara VSV, USP, psc, MMaritimePol, BSc (DS), paid a courtesy call on Major General H H K S S Hewage RWP RSP USP rcds psc and extended his compliments for his new appointment as the Commandant of the Defence Services Command and Staff College on 08 January 2025. The Commandant, accompanied by the Chief Instructor of the Navy Wing extended a warm welcome to the Vice Chancellor and pursued a brief interactive conversation. Further, they discussed various topics, including the future development of research initiatives by Course Participants, the Master’s Degree programme, lectures, and the fullest support of KDU to foster an optimal learning environment at the College. To mark the occasion, a symbolic exchange of mementos between the Commandant and the Vice Chancellor highlighted their mutual regard and commitment.
Following this, the Vice Chancellor delivered an insightful introduction to KDU and conducted a comprehensive briefing on the MSc in Defence and Strategic Studies (D&SS) programme. This was followed by an engaging question-and-answer session with the Course Participants of Course No. 19 at the Maroon Hall.
