THE DEFENCE SERVICES COMMAND AND STAFF COLLEGE INDUCTS COMMANDER OF THE SRI LANKA ARMY INTO THE WALL OF FAME

The Defence Services Command and Staff College (DSCSC) inducted Lieutenant General Lasantha Rodrigo RSP ctf-ndu psc IG, Commander of the Sri Lanka Army, an alumnus of the DSCSC, into its esteemed Wall of Fame in recognition of his distinguished military career, exceptional leadership, and significant contributions to national security, fulfilling the established criteria for induction on 28 January 2025.

The Commandant of the DSCSC, Major General HHKSS Hewage RWP RSP USP rcds psc, extended a distinguished welcome to the Chief Guest, marking a ceremonial protocol befitting the institution’s prestigious military tradition.

In a solemn and dignified ceremony, Lieutenant General Lasantha Rodrigo unveiled his profile, officially marking his induction into the DSCSC Wall of Fame. Following the induction, Lieutenant General Lasantha Rodrigo addressed the Course Participants of Course No. 19, the Faculty, and Permanent Staff sharing his invaluable insights, inspiring the audience, and underscoring the importance of education, professional military service, leadership, and dedication to national service.

During a tea hosted in his honour, he engaged freely with the Course Participants to include those from the friendly foreign countries, the Faculty, and Permanent Staff fostering camaraderie and offering guidance. He also took time to make a note in the College Induction Registry of the Wall of Fame and to pose for a group photograph to commemorate his visit to the College.
