The Defence Services Command and Staff College hosted the International Flag Ceremony on 29 January 2025, welcoming Foreign Course Participants (FCPs) from diverse nations. This event symbolizes international cooperation and academic excellence.
The ceremony commenced with a warm welcome by the Commandant, Major General H H K S S Hewage RWP RSP USP rcds psc, joined by Chief Instructors, the Brigadier Coordinating, the faculty and permanent staff members. Traditionally held this event formally welcomes FCPs, reinforcing DSCSC’s commitment to global military education.
This year, DSCSC proudly hosted FCPs from 11 nations, including Bangladesh, China, India, Indonesia, Maldives, Nepal, Oman, Pakistan, Rwanda, Saudi Arabia, and Zambia. Each flag hoisted signifies unity in diversity and commitment to professional military education. The senior-most Sri Lankan officer, alongside FCPs, placed their national flags, symbolizing respect and camaraderie.
