The Assistant Defence Advisor at the High Commission of the Republic of India in Sri Lanka, Lieutenant Colonel Mandeep Singh Negi, SM, paid a courtesy call on Major General H H K S S Hewage RWP RSP USP rcds psc, the Commandant of the Defence Services Command and Staff College (DSCSC), on 07 July 2025.
During the meeting, a cordial and productive discussion unfolded, focusing on strengthening the longstanding military relationship between India and Sri Lanka through enhanced military education cooperation. Both parties explored potential avenues for academic collaboration and capacity-building engagements that could mutually benefit the Armed Forces of India and Sri Lanka.
The dialogue also touched on key developmental initiatives at DSCSC, including a proposal to upgrade the DSCSC Library with a grant of LKR 10.45 million offered on a gratis basis by the Government of India and the approval in principle for the donation of two ambulance vans to the DSCSC.
To commemorate the occasion and to honour the strong bonds shared between the two nations, mementos were exchanged between the Commandant, DSCSC and the visiting Assistant Defence Advisor.
