HASH RUN_2025

The Defence Services Command and Staff College (DSCSC) held its much-awaited annual ‘Hash Run’ on 14 September 2025, bringing together the Commandant, Faculty, Permanent Staff, Course Participants and their families for a day of energy and fellowship. The event provided a refreshing pause from academic routines and created an atmosphere filled with fun and laughter.

With its origins in Malaya in 1938, the Hash Run has since spread across the world, becoming a unique blend of adventure and social bonding. This year’s run, organised in partnership with the Colombo Hash House Harriers Club, took place around the college grounds. The route featured adventurous tracks and obstacle challenges that ensured a lively and spirited participation.

The day concluded at the White Wall area, where participants enjoyed social and recreational activities in a relaxed setting. Children especially made the most of the festive environment, adding to the event’s cheerful spirit.

For many, especially the Foreign Course Participants and their families, the Hash Run 2025 was more than just a run, it was a memorable cultural and community experience within DSCSC.
