Brigadier M S P Bandara USP psc assumed duties as the new Brigadier Coordinating of the Defence Services Command and Staff College (DSCSC) on 10 October 2025 during a simple ceremony held at the Coordinating Wing.

The event commenced with the observance of religious rituals, invoking blessings for success in his new appointment. Thereafter, he officially assumed duties by placing his signature on a formal document, signifying the acceptance of his new responsibilities.

Brigadier M S P Bandara USP psc is an accomplished Senior Officer from the Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment with a distinguished military career spanning over three decades. He previously served as the Commander of the 561 Infantry Brigade prior to this appointment and brings with him a wealth of experience and professionalism that will undoubtedly contribute to the continued success and administrative excellence of the College.
