On 27 October 2025, Colonel Amanda Jonston CSC & Bar, ndc, Defence Adviser to the Australian High Commission in Sri Lanka, delivered an insightful lecture to the Course Participants of Course Number 19 at the Defence Services Command and Staff College (DSCSC).
Her presentation focused on Australia’s National Defence Strategy and the Integrated Investment Program, offering a comprehensive overview of Australia’s evolving defence posture and strategic priorities in the Indo-Pacific region. The session provided valuable context on Australia’s commitment to regional stability, capability development, and multilateral cooperation.
Following the lecture, a fruitful question-and-answer session allowed participants to engage directly with Colonel Jonston, deepening their understanding of Australia’s strategic frameworks and fostering professional dialogue.
The event concluded with a ceremonial presentation of a memento to Colonel Jonston by Major General HHKSS Hewage RWP RSP USP rcds psc, Commandant of DSCSC, in recognition of her contribution to the academic enrichment of the course.
