The Exercise GUIDING LIGHT is designed to acquaint Course Participants with the mechanics of planning and developing training instructions and a block syllabus. The exercise was conducted from 23 to 24 October 2025 and constitutes one of the major academic requirements for Army Course Participants during Term 4. As part of this exercise, Course Participants are tasked with formulating comprehensive training instructions for an infantry brigade and battalion, subsequently preparing the corresponding block syllabus. The exercise culminated with a Red Ink Correction (RIC) based on the exercise settings.
