Colonel Keith Miles, the Defence Adviser of the United Kingdom to Sri Lanka and Maldives, called on the Commandant of Defence Services Command and Staff College (DSCSC), Major General H H K S S Hewage RWP RSP USP rcds psc, on 20 November 2025.
The Commandant warmly received the visiting Defence Adviser upon his arrival, marking the beginning of a productive and engaging visit. The discussions that followed provided a valuable platform to further strengthen the longstanding defence cooperation between Sri Lanka and the United Kingdom. Both parties focused particularly on enhancing collaboration in military education and training, through expanded professional military engagements that would develop mutual understanding, interoperability, and capacity-building.
During the interaction session, the Defence Adviser engaged with the Commandant, Chief Instructors of the Army, Navy and Air Wings, Brigadier Coordinating, Colonel Admin and Quartering, Colonel General Staff and members of the faculty. The session was followed by a friendly tea, creating an informal setting to further exchange views and strengthen professional ties.
To commemorate the visit and to symbolize the enduring friendship between the two nations, mementoes were exchanged between the Commandant, DSCSC, and Colonel Keith Miles, reflecting their shared commitment to continued defence cooperation in the years ahead.
