The Commandant of the Defence Services Command and Staff College (DSCSC), Major General K W Jayaweera USP psc, paid a courtesy call on the Commander of the Army, Lieutenant General Lasantha Rodrigo RSP ctf-ndu psc IG on 06 January 2026, subsequent to assuming duties as the 12^th Commandant of the College.

During the meeting, the Commandant, DSCSC extended his appreciation for the guidance and support rendered by the Sri Lanka Army to the Defence Services Command and Staff College in accomplishing its mission of developing professionally competent officers for the Armed Forces. Discussions centred on ongoing and future academic endeavours of the College, capacity development initiatives, and its role in enhancing professional military education and leadership.

As a gesture of goodwill, mementoes were exchanged between the Commander of the Army and the Commandant, DSCSC symbolising the longstanding collaboration between the Army and the DSCSC.

The courtesy call further strengthened the cordial relationship between the Sri Lanka Army and the Defence Services Command and Staff College, reinforcing mutual commitment to maintaining high standards in training and education for tri-service officers.
