The Commandant of the Defence Services Command and Staff College (DSCSC), Major General K W Jayaweera USP psc, paid a courtesy call on the Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral B A K S P Banagoda RSP, USP, ndc, psc, MMaritimePol, MBA (HRM), PG Dip (HRM), BMS, Dip (Mgt), AFNI, JP (Whole Island), on 09 January 2026 at the Navy Headquarters.

The meeting took place in a cordial and professional setting and reflected the strong spirit of cooperation between Sri Lanka Navy and the College. Discussions mainly focused on matters of professional military education, leadership development, and the importance of enhancing joint understanding among officers of the three Services.

In a gesture symbolising mutual respect and goodwill, mementoes were exchanged between the Commander of the Navy and Commandant, DSCSC, marking the occasion and reaffirming the strong institutional ties between DSCSC and the Sri Lanka Navy.
