MODEL DISCUSSION ON OFFENSIVE OPERATIONS

The Model Discussion on Offensive Operations was conducted on 21 February 2026 at DSCSC Western Model Room. This Model Discussion has been designed to develop the Course Participants understanding on the concepts, doctrine, principles and planning considerations on the employment of Combat, Combat Support and Combat Service Support components of Offensive Operations at brigade level in the context of a divisional setting. The discussion commenced in the morning with the initial briefing of the Sponsor Directing Staff and continued till 1400 hours covering all salient aspects of planning and conducting of the Offensive Operations. The discussion generated healthy debates and constructive arguments among syndicates. It was an ideal forum for most of the Course Participants for sharpening their planning and briefing skills as well. Foreign Course Participants participated with lots of enthusiasm bringing out their perspectives on the subject, adding more value to the discussion. The discussion was terminated with the summing up by the Chief Instructor of the Army Wing.
