The Defence Services Command and Staff College (DSCSC) hosted the annual “Iftar Celebration” on 09 March 2026 at the DSCSC Officers’ Mess. The event was organised with the participation of all Foreign Course Participants (FCPs) currently undergoing training at the College.
The programme commenced with the Islamic religious observance, where Islamic FCPs performed their prayers under the guidance of a religious priest, marking the spiritual significance of the occasion during the holy month of Ramadan.
Following the religious observance, the gathering proceeded with the Iftar dinner, symbolizing unity, mutual respect, and cultural harmony among officers representing different nations.
The occasion was graced by the Commandant of DSCSC, Major General KW Jayaweera USP psc, as the Chief Guest. The event was further attended by Deputy Commandant, All Wing Heads, Heads of Training Team (HOTTs), Members of the Faculty, and Permanent Staff of the College, whose presence contributed to the significance of the occasion.
The Iftar Celebration provided an opportunity for officers to foster camaraderie, cultural understanding, and fellowship, reflecting the spirit of inclusivity and cooperation that the Defence Services Command and Staff College continues to uphold among both local and international officers.
