Defence Services Command and Staff College celebrated the Independence Day of the Republic of Senegal on 05 April 2021, with Major Malick Marigo, who is presently following Defence Services Command and Staff College Course Number 15.

Major Malick Marigo proudly presented the brief history on Senegalese independence where he stated that Senegal is the only African nation which has not seen a military coup. Furthermore, Major Malick extended his gratitude to the commandant and the staff of the Defence Services Command and Staff College, for organizing a grand event to celebrate his independence day. The event was graced by the Commandant of the Defence Services Command and Staff College, Deputy Commandant, Chief Instructors, members of the faculty, members of the permanent staff, local and foreign Student Officers of the Defence Services Command and Staff College Course Number 15.
